If I love creating games, I'm equally passionate about analyzing them, dissecting, and writing about my feelings towards them. I often enjoy writing more theoretical texts about my relationship with video games, on various platforms. Here, I share two of these writings, which are radically different from each other.

These texts are my property. Please do not republish them without my consent.

Dead Space : Démembrer l’horreur

For an editorial project, I was tasked with producing a lengthy analysis on the first Dead Space.

The project ultimately didn't come to fruition, but I still wanted to share the manuscript.

This is an extensive text revisiting the behind-the-scenes of the game's development and offering an analysis of its Game Design.

Sayonara Wild Hearts and the aesthetics of the Music Video

As part of my film studies, I had produced an academic text on the connection between the music video and the game Sayonara Wild Hearts.

The idea was to explore how the latter strongly draws from the aesthetics of music videos in its direction and in the way it paces its gameplay phases.

A few years later, I decided to revise this text for Twitter, in a simplified version in the form of a thread.
